  2. Electromagnets: Unlike permanent magnets, electromagnets require an electric current to generate a magnetic field. When the current flows through a coil of wire, it produces a magnetic field around the coil. The strength of the magnetic field can be controlled by varying the current or the number of turns in the coil. Electromagnets find applications in various devices and systems, including:

    • Electric Motors and Generators: Electromagnets are used in the construction of electric motors and generators to produce rotational motion or generate electricity.

    • MRI Machines: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines use powerful electromagnets to create detailed images of internal body structures for medical diagnosis.
